A Peterborough father intends to utilize a portion of his Lotto Max rewards to help his kids.

As per the OLG, Wayne Palmer, 56, guaranteed a runner up prize of $52,113.10 following the Aug. 9 Lotto Max draw.

Palmer says it's his first "enormous" lottery win as he "generally plays" Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49.

"This success feels much better. On the off chance that it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody," he said.

His triumphant ticket was bought at Trailblazer Bite Express on Lansdowne Road in Peterborough.

Palmer intends to utilize his rewards to cover a few bills, save for an excursion and "deal with his kids."
